Ben started his HR career in 2001 after graduating with a degree in Human Resource Management, working in a variety of organisations including the public sector, not for profit, schools and most recently taking up regional roles with two large multinational organisations, one of which was in the FTSE 100.
Ben has a wealth of practical experience in all areas of HR management, including recruitment and selection, training and development, and employee relations matters such as redundancy, performance management, absence management and disciplinary and grievance.
Ben returned to part time study, while continuing to work full time in 2008, to achieve his Post Graduate Diploma and CIPD qualification in 2010. Ben holds Chartered Member status of the CIPD.
In his consultancy role, Ben provides ad hoc advice and support to a wide range of client organisations and undertakes projects, including outplacement support, writing contracts, handbooks, policies and training courses.
Ben lives locally with his long term partner and enjoys gardening and growing orchids.
